We started by building eco-bricks from plastic bottles and other waste. Then, we expanded to Plastic2Art, Plastic2Policy, Microplastic Labs and Plastic2Livelihood. Partaking in one of these is highly advised for our regional heads.
Train students to become advocates for sustainability by guiding them through waste audits, consumption pattern analysis, and evidence-based recommendations. Students can use their findings to write research papers and even strive for meaningful plastic reforms at school and municipal levels.
Transform plastic waste into creative installations or art, like sculptures or hand-made jewellery. This initiative uses art as a medium to foster beauty within communities while promoting environmental awareness.
Explore the scientific side through hands-on microplastic testing, awareness drives, and student-led research publications. Equip young scientists with practical skills to tackle microplastic pollution and spread awareness.
Improve living standards of underprivileged communities by educating them on sustainability and donating functional products made entirely of plastic, like mats and pouches. This supports communities while reducing environmental impact.
Plastic2Brick is where Plastic2Build began. This starter project idea requires non-recyclable waste and plastic bottles and turns them into durable eco-bricks. These bricks can be used to build eco-friendly furniture, such as benches and chairs, showcasing a functional solution to plastic pollution. For example, the Dubai branch has built an eco-stool out of 60 eco-bricks. Then, we expanded to Plastic2Art, Plastic2Policy, Microplastic Labs, and Plastic2Livelihood.
